In my opinion, prayer has gotten a bad name by many through its connotation to certain religious groups that are small but outspoken, seem outdated, or associated somehow with illegal or criminal activities. Truth is, I dont know. What I do know is that I think it a grave mistake to ‘throw out the baby with the bathwater’. The idea that because humans, or groups may be missing the opportunities with practices such as prayer does not mean that you have to miss it as well.
Heart-filled Prayer is one of the greatest devotional practices available to us. Its much like the practice of Gratitude I have. When I am being thankful I am praying.
