Research shows that gratitude generates social capital — in two studies with 243 total participants, those who were 10% more grateful than average had 17.5% more social capital. They encouraged the veterans to learn meditation as a way to relieve PSTD symptoms. This method showed significant improvements to the vets as compared to those that underwent traditional treatment methods.
